Tonight we dine and remember the times

when our worries were none.

This night is not about the bills,

the jobs we wish we could leave

the people we can't stand to see.

It's about family.

It's about people we care about

more than ourselves.

About sharing our wealth with those

around us.

just remember the hungry eyes

that peer through the window,

the hungry hearts who spend tonight alone,

the hungry souls who haven't forgotten

where this holiday comes from.

Welcome them at your tables.

Invite them in with open arms and

be respectful of their emotions.

Remember what tonight's about.
